Bryan E. Repetto represents clients in the areas of intellectual property, healthcare law, privacy, litigation, and business and intellectual property transactions. While representing clients across diverse industries, Mr. Repetto’s patent practice has particular focus in the areas of life sciences, healthcare, and software.
Prior to beginning his legal practice, and during law school, Mr. Repetto worked with a major patent holding company where he participated in the licensing and monetization of high value patent portfolios. The experience has made Mr. Repetto particularly astute in counseling clients in relation to procuring, prosecuting, licensing, litigating and monetizing patent portfolios, for both offensive and defensive purposes.
In addition to his experience as outside counsel, Mr. Repetto has served as General Counsel at a Palo Alto based software company offering specialized services for health plans, healthcare professionals and patients. In his capacity as General Counsel, Mr. Repetto oversaw all activities relating to development of an intellectual property portfolio, and also managed and negotiated the company's day-to-day business transactions.
Mr. Repetto earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis (now known as Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law); a Master of Intellectual Property, Commerce, and Technology from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, a Master of Health Services Administration from St. Joseph's College of Maine; and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Mr. Repetto is a member of the State Bar of California, the Washington State Bar Association, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally, Mr. Repetto certified as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US) and a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Mr. Repetto is a member of numerous professional associations and frequently lectures on IP issues and legal matters.
